Senior Operations Manager Named Women Making Waves Honoree

St. Petersburg, FL (JUNE 24, 2021) – Rina Aponte, Senior Operations Manager, Priority One Financial Services, was named to Boating Industry’s 2021 list of “Women Making Waves.” A veteran of the Navy and the recreational industry, Aponte boasts over 20 years of experience across several roles with Priority One. Today, she manages a team of over 40 employees that handle the day-to-day operations and communication with marine and RV dealers and customers.

“I can put anything in front of her and she will make it happen,” said Heather Mariscal, President of Priority One. When the pandemic began, the company was confronted with sending employees to work from home while managing an unprecedented volume of business. “Rina was literally everywhere, doing everything. It was remarkable to watch. She was tested on a whole different level and she rose to the challenge like a champ.”

The second year in-a-row for Priority One, a women-led company, to have an employee on the list, Aponte attributed her success to women that paved the way before her, including Lorraine Mariotti, Vice President of Lending, who was named among the 2020 honorees.

Women Making Waves recognizes women in the industry who have made and continue to make great contributions to its success, propel its growth, and lead their organizations and peers into the future. This year, Boating Industry honored 30 women, Aponte among them.
