Community Involvement

  • P1 employees volunteered their time to local charities throughout the month of November, 2010 in order to give thanks back to the community. The activities included helping at Pet Pal Animal Shelter, cleaning and painting at CASA, a shelter that houses residents that have suffered from domestic violence, and rebuilding oyster domes to protect and restore marine and wetland environments for Tampa Bay Watch. In addition to these group activities, Jason Bagwell, P1's operation's manager, and Kristopher Dobrowski, one of P1's business administrators, spoke to fifth graders at San Jose Elementary School on November 18th informing the children about the difference between credit cards, debit cards and gift cards as well as educating on identity theft and saving money. This is the sixth year that Jason has been doing this for the school's Great American Teach-In.

  • Priority One staff members raised over $3,000 and participated in "Walk Now for Autism Speaks" which helps to raise funds for research aimed at finding answers to this ever-increasing developmental disorder."

  • During the holiday season, Priority One participated in "Priority One Gives Thanks" by volunteering for several organizations which included hosting a barbeque at the Ronald McDonald House, a beach clean-up day for the Ocean Conservancy and landscaping for a new home to be built by Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County.

  • Employees collected annual donations for the Salvation Army in which the company matched dollar-for-dollar.

  • Employees made holiday donations to Toys for Tots and the St. Petersburg Free Clinic.

  • Priority One contributed to the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and participated in the annual "Race for the Cure."

  • Priority One offered college scholarships to two high school students providing them with a 6-month paid internship and $500 toward college expenses.

  • Company-wide donations were collected for Fallen Heroes Fund and P.A.R.C.
